In any case, the stock price is back to where it was when they didn't have any gold, with gold about 30% higher. I guess a possible inference from this is that Atac really doesn't have any gold, beyond a few specks frozen in an unmineable permafrost a thousand miles from civilization.
I guess the Xstrata-Glencore merger is the nail in the coffin for SBB? Their stock tends to faceplant whenever the merger looks like it's going ahead.
With performance like this, isn't it no wonder that the GDXJ still looks terrible?

ReplyDeleteThe only good part of the otherwise dismal picture is they have 8-9 mil left in the kitty, which gets them out off the exploreco death list, but where it goes from here I don't know. They say they will find other prospects elsewhere and shut down the Yukon. Which gives me about a 10,000-1 shot of ever getting back to even. Hurrah. At least they aren't spending it on champagne and limos like some Vancouver vultures.
The only guy who ever made money up there was Yukon Cornelius and he had a big, furry helper.
I guess the lesson to be learned, then, is to hang out with furries more often.
